TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
            Paying for your Stay
              All rates are quoted and payable in Canadian dollars or their equivalent.
                We accept cash, debit cards, travelers cheques, Visa, Mastercard
                or certified personal cheques. Unless prior credit has been established,
                we do not accept personal cheques. If paying by cash, we ask
                that you pay upon arrival. U.S. currency is the only foreign
                currency we accept, and is welcome at the prevailing exchange
                rate. All reservations are subject to approval by the resort.
                We reserve the right to accept or reject any reservation. Rate
                and policies are subject to change without notice and are not
                guaranteed until your reservation has been confirmed in writing.
                We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any reservation without notice
                or cause, and if done so, will refund any deposits in full.
            Check-In and Check-Out
              Check-in on your day of arrival is normally any time after 4 pm
                and check-out on your day of departure is normally 10 am. If
                you will not be arriving until after dinner or late in the evening,
                please let us know, as our office is open only until 10 pm daily.
            What your Package Includes
              Packages include accommodation in a waterfront unit, 2 or 3 meals
                (except housekeeping units- see below) according to the package,
                use of most recreation facilities, summer children's activities
                programs, summer evening entertainment, daily maid service (except
                housekeeping units - see below), parking for your car. 
                Tax of 13% HST is added to all package charges. Please note that certain specific activities
                such as cruises, water-skiing & tubing, entertainment, specific
                activities for the children's program, etc. are only offered
                at certain times during the week according to a weekly activities
                schedule. Guests, staying less than one week, and particularly
                very short stays, may not receive certain activities due to scheduling.
                No deductions will be made for missed activities.
            Service/Gratuities
              We do not add a service charge to our customer's invoices.  Gratuities for service are at your discretion.
            Accommodations
              All accommodations are in buildings that are separate from the
                Main Lodge and have a view of our beautiful waterfront and are
                non-smoking. There are hotel style rooms, and 2 bedroom units.
                Minimum charge applies to 2 bedroom units. All are tastefully
                decorated and contain a colour TV, AM/FM clock radio, small refrigerator,
                telephone, hair dryer, small lakeside sitting
                area, and a porch, deck or balcony. They are individually heated
                and air-conditioned. Some have Jacuzzi bathtubs and/or fireplaces.
                The resort also has hi-speed internet at no additional charge.
            Meals
              Over the years, we have gained a well-earned reputation for delicious
                foods, popular wines and gracious country hospitality. Menu items
                are carefully selected to ensure a delightful variety of choices.
                You will be assigned a seating time for your first dinner. If
                you would like to change future dinner times, please speak to
                the Dining Room manager after the first dinner. If possible we
                will be more than happy to accommodate your request. Our dining
                room is licensed under the L.L.B.O. and is smoke free for your
                dining pleasure.
            Alcohol
              You are welcome to bring your own alcohol, however in accordance with the terms of our 
              liquor license, personal alcohol (alcohol not purchased from the lodge) must be consumed 
              in your room and is not allowed anywhere else on the property including around the pool, in 
              the Regatta Room or in the Dining Room. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased from the Dining Room 
              and Patio Room. At this time, all drinks purchased from Severn Lodge must be enjoyed in the Dining Room, 
              or Patio Room - unless otherwise indicated.
            Waterfront Equipment
              Non-motorized waterfront equipment such as, canoes, pedal boats,
                and kayaks are included in your package. This equipment is signed
                out on a first-come-first serve basis and no advance reservations
                are taken. Rental charges apply to motorized waterfront equipment.
                We have outboard boats and motors and jet-skis
                available. A damage deposit is required. Advance reservations
                are taken for outboard boats only if rented for your entire stay.
            Summer Kid's Activities Programs
              We offer stimulating and fun-filled supervised programs for children
                ages 2-12 during the summer months. These programs are offered
                daily except for the toddlers program (ages 2-4) that operates
                daily except Sunday. A general description of each program can
                be found at our website. Specific daily schedules are not available
                in advance.
            Deposits & Cancellations
A deposit of 50% upon booking is required, unless otherwise indicated. 
Should you have to cancel your reservation 50% of the total deposit on file will be refunded, 
so long as it is cancelled 90 days prior to arrival.  Should you cancel 89 days prior to arrival the full deposit (50%) 
is retained and is non-refundable. Should we be able to rebook the room prior to the original arrival date for 
the exact same days/packaged pricing your deposit will be refunded in full minus a $250 administration fee.  
We are not liable or responsible for non-utilization of any package components or loss of recreational 
opportunities due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control including deaths, 
medical emergencies, or travel and transportation issues.
              
            Pets
              For the comfort of all of our guests, pets are not permitted at
                Severn Lodge.
 
            Miscellaneous
                We have a Resort Gift Shop where items such as gifts, souvenirs,
                snack items, and hand scooped ice cream are
                available. There are also coin washers and dryers for guest use.
                Dress is casual resort wear. Just a reminder, you might want
                to bring beach towels, a flash light, life jackets for children,
                and fishing poles if you plan to fish.
            Housekeeping Suites
              Housekeeping Suites - Homestead , Westview, Hillcrest. If you have
                a housekeeping reservation for any of these suites, the following
                applies. These suites are fully equipped for housekeeping and
                you need only bring your own personal items, food and consumable
                items. All linens are supplied. Daily maid service excluding
                the kitchen is available for an additional charge.
            Telephones
              If you are leaving a phone number for friends or relatives, please
                advise them to call 705-756-9312. Calls to our toll free reservation
                line cannot be transferred to guest rooms.
